Destination: Madalena do Mar
In deviation to the PDF versions until October 29, 2024 line 80 now runs daily (also on Saturdays and Sundays)
at 10:00 a.m. from Funchal in a westerly direction
and also stops in Madalena do Mar (arrival at 11:15 am.).
On Saturdays and Sundays there is now also a return journey to Funchal at 17:35.
This means that excursions to this destination can now also be included in your weekend plans!
Current Notices
Ponta do Sol
The Estrada Regional (ER) 101 between Ponta do Sol and Madalena do Mar is currently closed after a landslide turned the passage into a dangerous adventure.
The ‘car wash’, the Cascata dos Anjos, is also affected. The waterfall can no longer be visited at the moment and the road remains closed according to the Ponta do Sol town council until safety has been checked and possible stabilisation work carried out.
The passage through the western tunnel is still open and therefore the ‚Old Bridge‘ and the ‘Rock Gate’, which both are well worth seeing, can still be visited.
